This is a U.S. made two-piece H3 sliding weight AR-10 buffer, standard carbine length (2.5″), black/iridescent finish. This 2.5″ buffer is also used for the Lima 6 Belt-Fed, equipped with a standard AR-15 carbine length buffer tube (Not an A5 length tube). It uses the entire steel/tungsten rear piece, to dead-blow the bolt carrier in order to prevent bolt bounce. Designed specifically for full auto and FRT (forced reset trigger) firearms. The dead blow action will only operate correctly if there is a 1/16 – 1/8″ gap between the head piece and the body. This gap is set at the factory, but can be adjusted if need be.
The sliding portion of the buffer weighs 4.8oz which exceeds the sliding weight of a conventional 3.25″ H3 carbine buffer. Complete assembly weight is 5.5oz.
NOTE: YOU MUST LOOSEN THE SMALL LOCKING SET SCREW ON THE SIDE OF THE BUFFER BODY, PRIOR TO TURNING THE MAIN HEAD SCREW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not compatible with Sylvan Arms Folding Stock Adapter or Geissele Super 42 spring. All other buffer springs work fine, including the Tubbs flat wire.
