Description
This parts kit includes everything you need to assemble a 458 SOCOM AK into a complete rifle, other than the safety stop stud, pistol grip, and butt stock.
You will also need a 5.56 AK-47 magazine to feed the 458 SOCOM cartridges. You can’t use a 7.62×39 magazine.
This uses a Tromix puck style gas system similar to a Saiga-12 shotgun, and includes an 8 position gas regulator.
Tromix 458 SOCOM barrel is 16.25″ long, 1:14 twist, with a 5/8-24 threaded muzzle.
This kit needs to be fitted and assembled by a highly qualified AK-47 rifle builder. This is not something you can bolt together like an AR-15.
Tech tips – Set the firing pin protrusion at .032″. Drill gas port .089″. Drill barrel pin hole to .205″, then finish with a .217″ reamer.
This kit contains a Sharps Brothers billet receiver, S/N 458-00007 which must be shipped to an FFL. Caliber is also marked “458 SOCOM” on the receiver.
