Description
This is a two-piece H4 sliding weight AR-15 buffer, standard carbine length (3.25″). It uses the entire steel/tungsten rear piece, to dead-blow the bolt carrier in order to prevent bolt bounce. Designed specifically for full auto and FRT (forced reset trigger) firearms. This buffer is for use in a standard carbine length buffer tube, NOT for use in the longer A5 tubes.
The sliding portion of this buffer weighs 6oz, which weighs the same as FOUR Tungsten weights to help prevent bolt bounce during rapid fire. Total buffer weight is 6.9oz. Black parkerized finish.
Note: When it comes to stopping bolt bounce, the weight of the sliding portion is what counts, not the overall weight of the buffer. There are some so-called H4 buffers that only have 3 Tungsten weights, giving you only 4.5oz of sliding weight rather than 6oz for 4ea tungsten weights.
